The Redland City  State Emergency Service is a not-for-profit organisation that is supported through our support association Redland Emergency Services Association and the SES volunteers themselves. RESVA support the Unit and groups by being able to apply for grants for the agency and also accept Public Donations and Financial Sponsorship from the Redland City Council. If you would like to donate to the Redland SES unit or one of our groups please contact RESVA on resva@redlandses.com.au

Both State and Local Governments work towards a common SES goal with and for the benefit of the Redland City Community.

The Redland City  SES consists of ‘unpaid’ volunteers from a variety of backgrounds and professions who respond to emergencies and disasters across the City, 24/7.  These volunteers are supported by SES staff.  Queensland Fire and Emergency Services provides the State Government coordination and support component along with support for Recognised Training and provision of all safety equipment and uniforms.

Our Volunteers are trained and equipped to help our communities across a range of functions, from Storm Response to Land search, and their primary purpose is to assist the most vulnerable members of the community.

Through empowering people to help themselves and others in their community in times of emergency and disaster ensure a stronger and happier City. The basic concept is one of self-help and mutual assistance within the Redland City.
